hi everyone! I'm so sorry I haven't been very active on here recently - my semester has been super busy but it's so great to see so many new faces.

some of the original scifi.fyi people might remember that I mentioned I'll be taking a science fiction class this semester - so far we've read H.G. Wells' Time Machine, Samuel Delany's Babel 17, and Ursula la Guin's The Word for World is Forest. I really enjoyed Babel 17!

I'm so sorry that Scifi's SSL certificate sat expired for a little while today. It looks like my cronjob for renewal didn't execute. If you were unable to access scifi.fyi at some point today this was why.

We have a fresh certificate now and I will keep a closer eye in the future when it comes time to renew it again.

Also, the stable release of v1.5 should arrive on Monday or Tuesday - it's a huge, great release and I will update Scifi as soon as the release arrives.
