Just finished Wool Omnibus, and I liked it! Kinda depressing, but a good spin on post-apocalyptic human settlements. Never too predictable, and no huge predictable arcs. Good scifi.

(Not going to read the next part, though – I have too much to read as it is, and people keep saying that the second part is not as good as the first one.)

@rixx Good to know! I have the first volume, but haven't got to it yet.

@rixx I actually liked the following chapters a lot as well, but they felt as different from the Wool-parts as, say, "Fall" did from "Hyperion".

@mann_ey Heh, funny you should mention that – I did read Hyperion, but it wasn't my jam, so I skipped Fall, too.

@rixx I only wish I had skipped Fall, it gave too much context to the bizarre gem that is Hyperion πŸ˜‰β€‹

@rixx in other words, reading them didn't feel like part of the initial experience, more of an add-on in the same universe
